Jenna Howe, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Jenna Howe, BA Psych., DOMP
Jenna brings compassion, sensitivity, and understanding to every client she works with. She’s dedicated to getting to the root of your pain and discomfort — not just easing the symptoms — and she genuinely loves what she does, from the hands-on therapy to the constant learning that comes with it.
She holds a Diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management, Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice, and a degree in Psychology, plus a stack of postgraduate certifications: Concussion Health, Cancer, and Exercise Recovery; Certified Bowen Health Therapist; Master-level Neurokinetic Therapist; Certified ANF Pain Therapist; Certified Yoga Therapist; as well as ongoing continuing education in Visceral and Neural Manipulation.
Jenna’s been working with concussed clients since early 2003, helping people of every age and background get back to the things they love — sport, work, and everyday life. She’s currently in private practice in Victoria, BC, offering concussion therapy, health coaching for post concussion, acute and chronic pain services, and therapeutic exercise rehabilitation.
She’s a lifelong learner at heart, always chasing new techniques and fresh ways to help her clients feel and move better.

On Working With Sports Injury & Concussion
Jenna’s always had a soft spot for sports injury management, performance training, and sports nutrition, though these days her focus is mostly on rehab. She works with athletes at every level — kids, weekend warriors, and pros alike — because everyone deserves to know there’s a safe, effective way to recover from concussion without cutting a sporting career short.
Right now, the go-to medical approach for concussion is still “wait and see” — which can leave athletes vulnerable to long-term symptoms by letting them:
- hide symptoms from coaches, therapists, and parents
- head back into play too soon and get re-concussed
Physiotherapy, chiropractic care, and craniosacral therapy are becoming more common for post-concussion syndrome, but recovery with these methods tends to be slow — often 8 to 12 weeks of 2 to 3 sessions a week — and “success” usually just means fewer symptoms, not full resolution. Clients who work with Jenna often notice a difference right away, and many see full resolution in just 3 to 4 sessions. Of course, everyone’s different, and results depend on a lot of factors. At Jenna Howe and Associates, Jenna will walk you through a treatment plan tailored to you after your health intake and assessment.
On Working With Chronic Pain
Jenna finds deep satisfaction in helping clients find relief to long-standing chronic pain and offers 20 years of concussion treatment & chronic pain treatment experience. She serves people of all ages suffering from post-concussion syndrome, limited mobility & activity, or the frustration or despair brought on by unresolved, long-standing chronic pain.
Many clients come to Jenna seeking help after all other standard methods have failed in resolving their chronic pain. When you choose to work with Jenna, you are choosing a partnership in finding the root cause of your issues. Addressing the symptoms will only provide temporary relief but by treating the root cause of dysfunction in joints and musculoskeletal systems in the body you are increasing the chances of long-term or permanent resolution. This isn’t always an easy process to go through as working through layers of compensation built over years can be an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Jenna brings compassion, understanding, patience, and a willingness to collaborate with your healthcare network as necessary.
How will manual therapy aid in pain relief?
If you’ve never seen an osteopathic therapist before, you might be a little wary of what your first appointment might be like. However, it’s important not to worry about that! Manual therapy is a safe and effective method of treatment.
When you arrive, your therapist will perform a thorough assessment to determine the root cause of your pain or discomfort. Next, a personalized treatment plan will be designed for you.
