Tara Neifer

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Certified Yoga Instructor, Neurokinetic Therapist

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (OMP), graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy (Toronto) in 2024 and holds a 550-hour certification from Yoga Therapy and Bodywork (Calgary). With over 25 years of experience as a practitioner and educator, she brings a movement-informed perspective to her clinical practice.

Manual Osteopathy

Tara’s osteopathic methodology centers on objective physiological assessment. She utilizes refined listening and palpation techniques, including the Cranial Rhythm Impulse (CRI), to engage in a quiet, responsive dialogue with your physiology. With a specialized focus on the mechanics of the pelvis, sacrum, and sacroiliac joint (SIJ)—and an emphasis on the foundational role of breath—Tara gently unwinds patterns of tension and restores structural integrity.

Movement Therapy

Tara believes in the synergistic relationship between manual therapy and therapeutic movement. Her therapeutic movement approach is rooted in the “kinesiology of yoga,” an evidence-based framework that integrates anatomy and therapeutic exercise and treats movement as a vital component of rehabilitation and long-term health. By blending anatomical precision with therapeutic movement strategies, Tara helps clients identify and address their unique movement patterns. This allows her to bridge the gap between clinical treatment and functional daily life, providing clients with sustainable, anatomy-based exercises that empower them to actively participate in their own recovery and structural well-being.”

Neurokinetic Therapy

Tara integrates Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) to identify muscle facilitation and inhibition patterns. This clinical approach allows for the assessment of compensation strategies and functional strain caused by past injuries or chronic muscular imbalances. By mapping these neuromuscular patterns, she addresses the root causes of dysfunction, supporting the correction of long-term pain cycles.
